What the qualification involves

During the qualification, you will complete a range of assessments in your workplace with your assessor. This includes professional discussions, knowledge questions, progress reviews and evidence based on the supervisory work you carry out. You will build a portfolio of evidence based on your role supervising work on site.

Duration

The qualification typically takes around 4 to 6 months to complete, depending on how quickly you complete the required evidence.

How the qualification is delivered

This is a workplace-based qualification which can be completed while you are working in construction. You do not need to attend college. Your assessor will carry out professional discussions, progress reviews and observations where possible. You will build a portfolio of evidence based on the supervisory work you carry out on site, such as organising work, supervising others, completing site paperwork and communicating with site management.

This qualification may be fully funded if you are eligible. Funding depends on your age, location and employment status. Please contact us and we will check if you are eligible for funding.

Be currently working in construction

Be involved in supervising work, leading a team, or organising jobs on site

Be aged 19 or over

Be able to provide work-based evidence and complete assessments

You do not need to have the job title of supervisor, but you must be carrying out supervisory responsibilities on site as part of your role
